Basic front yard design. Basic backyard design is $1,250. Consultation, site survey and first presentation are included in the design fee, and the fee is credited against the final project cost.

Common questions.
Do I need a design before any work starts?
For one small element, usually not. For a full backyard, or anything touching grade, drainage, or more than one area, a plan is what prevents the expensive kind of surprise.
Can the work be phased?
Yes, and it is worth planning that way from the start. Sequencing matters — drainage, utilities, and hardscape have to land before the finishing work.
